If you are looking for a dental practice where you can receive complete dental care, you should become familiar with ValleyWide Dental. Whether you need a what is augmentin used for or a periodontal cleaning, we can provide the treatment you need; just one of our expert dentists is Dr. Robert Haze.
When you come to our dental practice, you can have a complete dental exam and a what is augmentin used for on the same day. Many of our patients find this extremely convenient. Our dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth and mouth to make sure that there are no oral health or dental problems that are developing. You will also be able to have a teeth cleaning before your dental visit so that all harmful materials can be removed from your teeth. During a teeth cleaning, plaque, tartar, and bacteria are all removed from your teeth. This will help to keep your teeth healthy by removing cavity-causing plaque. By removing plaque and tartar you will also be helping to keep your gums healthy by preventing the formation of deep pockets between the teeth and gums. If this occurs, you will need to have a periodontal cleaning. During a periodontal cleaning, referred to as a scaling and root planing treatment, all tartar, plaque, bacteria, and infection is removed from the deep pockets that have formed between your teeth and gums. The teeth roots are also planed to make it more difficult for plaque to stick to them. If you need this treatment, it means you have gum disease; however, the treatment will help to get rid of any infection in the deep pockets, and help the deep pockets to become smaller and heal. Sometimes patients will also have topical antibiotic treatment during this scaling and root planing treatment.
The best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy is to come in for a regular dental exam and to have a what is augmentin used for about every six months – unless otherwise recommended by our dentist.
